Ginger Shots

Warming, spicy ginger shots perfect for kick starting your day and keep those nasty colds and bugs away!

Ingredients

✨ Ginger

✨ Tumeric

✨ Lemon

✨ Orange

✨ Apple

✨ Cayenne Pepper

✨ Black Pepper

✨ Coconut Oil

Method

This recipe is a matter of grabbing your blender and chucking it all in!

Add in the whole ginger with the skin on, a generous amount. Grab your Turmeric, if you are using the root Turmeric put in 1-2 roots (depending on how Turmeric'y' you want it)! If you are using powered Turmeric, add a teaspoon worth.

For the Lemon and Orange, take the skin off and chuck everything else in. Add the apple in whole!

A sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper, a crack of Black Pepper and a small teaspoon of Coconut Oil.

You will need to add a splash to water to help it blend.

When the above is all in, turn on that blender and blend well.

Here is the exciting bit, once it is formed into a pulp, grab a large bowl and place a muslin cloth or tea towel over the bowl (be prepared it will most likely stain). Pour the pulp over the cloth and then squeeze out the juice.

Once you have your juice, throw away the pulp, grab a bottle or whatever you choose to pour the juice into and voilà, you have your ginger shots!

Be aware, the turmeric is powerful so can stain should it get on your clothes!

I can't tell you just how good ginger is for our immune systems, these guys are truly going to keep us going this winter!
